Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team at Mid-Park Inc. - Highway Team. This role is essential for maintaining our high standards of quality throughout the fabrication process. The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards in our highway safety steel and aluminum products.

Duties and Responsibilities of Quality Technicians (but not limited to):

       Gage Calibration

       In process inspection

       Final Inspection

       Coating Inspection

       Welder Training

       Problem Solving

       Process Auditing

Highway Division has been a leading supplier & manufacturer of highway & concrete paving products in Kentucky and many of its surrounding states. They supply and manufacture Guardrail Systems and Accessories along with quality concrete products used in the highway, airport, and commercial concrete paving industries. AISC Certified.

Metal Forming has been a leading manufacturer of agricultural products. The Agricultural Division maintains a large inventory of agricultural hardware to meet customer needs and a full-service CNC Machining Division capable of meeting any machining needs. The stamping location has capacity from 150 ton to 800 ton. ISO 9001:2008 Certification Standard

Pay will be based on prior experience.

Leitchfield, Kentucky, in Grayson County, is 49 miles SE of Owensboro, Kentucky (center to center) and 61 miles SW of Louisville, Kentucky. Other nearby cities include Bowling Green and Elizabethtown.

Located between Nolin Lake and Rough River Dam State Park and near Mammoth Cave National Park. The land provides wildlife, fishing, hiking, camping, boating, and swimming.

Colleges and universities that offer courses for higher studies include the Elizabethtown Community College (branch location in Leitchfield), Western Kentucky University, University of Louisville, and Jefferson Community College.

Requirements

       Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

       Read and accurately interpret blueprints at an advanced level.

       Math and Computer Skills.

       Able to follow directions and perform repetitive tasks.

       Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

       Steel Fabrication: 5 years (Required)

       Metal Fabrication Testing and Inspection: 5 years (Required)

       Blueprint reading with weld symbols: 5 years (Required)

       Quality assurance: 5 years (Preferred)

       License/Certification: Certified Welding Inspector (Preferred)

       Shift availability: Night Shift (Required) 

       Work Location: In person
