Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring high levels of student and faculty satisfaction, ensuring compliance with academic policies and procedures, recruiting, training, retaining, and developing outstanding instructors, and focusing on student retention.
Responsibilities:
We are specifically seeking candidates with:
Qualifications & Key Responsibilities
Extensive welding experience in structural, pipe, fabrication, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments.
Proven leadership experience managing welding teams, instructors, apprentices, or shop operations.
Strong coaching, training, and workforce development skills.
Proficient with technology platforms, CRM systems, Canvas, and student performance tracking tools.
Passion for student success and developing future skilled trades professionals.
Ensure curriculum, lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional materials are current, consistent, and effectively delivered.
Support program quality through curriculum reviews, PAC participation, industry engagement, and recruiting events.
Oversee faculty performance, development, observations, evaluations, training, and corrective action processes.
Lead faculty hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and workload management.
Monitor key student and faculty metrics, including attendance, retention, SAP, rephase rates, and course completion.
Ensure instructors provide effective academic advising, student support, and safety oversight.
Manage End-of-Course surveys and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and execute retention strategies to support ACCSC completion standards and student outcomes.
Participate in curriculum development and industry partnerships to maintain program relevance.
Complete required reporting and ensure all deadlines, compliance requirements, and operational objectives are met.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and minimum two years’ experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years related experience is strongly preferred.
For non-degree granting institutions, the individual in this role must have an educational background equal to or exceeding the maximum credential offered by the school.
For degree-granting institutions, the individual in this role must have an earned degree at least one level higher than the highest degree offered by the school.
