SKC Engineering Ltd. provides welding and manufacturing consultation services, with offices in Surrey, British Columbia. We have been serving the welding community since 1997 and currently provide retained engineering services in CSA steel and aluminum welding programs for over 200 diversified companies.
In addition to welding and manufacturing consulting services, we also provide design, quality assurance, inspections, and certifications related to welding and manufacturing of structures, equipment, and lifting devices. We work with CSA, ASME and AWS codes and standards; LR, ABS, DNV and other Classification agencies, and other related welding rules. We have a diverse client base ranging from small welding and fabricating facilities to some of the world's largest construction groups and manufacturers. We service the marine, mining, steel fabrication, construction and manufacturing industries.
Company History
Founded in 1997 as a one man welding consulting firm SKC Engineering is now one of BC's largest providers of welding engineering and related services.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Our founder and principle Steve Siu was the winner of the 2013 Michael N. Vuchnich Award for the work he has done to advance the science, technology and application of arc welding in Canada.
