Company History
In February 1974, Olen Beitzel and his father, Lawrence, formed Beitzel Welding Company near Bittinger, MD. Beitzel Corporation’s expertise began primarily as a service company in the coal industry but has expanded to engineering, design, fabrication, machining, construction, and repair. Our work has been in coal mines, coal processing plants, power plants, paper mills, potable and waste water treatment facilities, aggregate and asphalt plants, excavation in utility and site development projects, and the gas industry. Beitzel Corporation specializes in turn-key operations from foundation through equipment start up and commissioning. Since its founding, Beitzel Corporation has moved boldly into new and cutting-edge areas of technology and industrial construction.
In 2007, a group of 16 Employees from Beitzel Corporation in Grantsville, MD and Farmington, NM became the first employees of Pillar Innovations, LLC. Pillar Innovations is a recognized leader in new technology, primarily in the mining industry, serving customers nationwide out of numerous sales and service facilities. Pillar prides itself on being a company that delivers state-of-the-art systems coupled with superior service long after the sale.
