The Level I/II Technician will be performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results
- Level I/II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
- Level I/II Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians
- Level I/II Technicians organize and report results of NDT
- Set up and utilize nondestructive testing equipment, Calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection, based on ASTM/AWS/ASNT standards
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations (OSHA 10)
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results, Interpret reading and instrumentation or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
- Organize and report test results, using standard word templates, perform specialized inspections, may instruct and supervise others, perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Requirements
Travel is throughout "Connecticut", maybe NY or RI, Travel is Reimbursed, Mileage is Paid. We do zero marketing and are turning down work daily. This is a full time employee position, but will consider a contract for this role
Document results in written reports. Manager will communicate on a daily basis for continuous improvement and takes an interest in providing the best service possible to our clients.
Previous Welding inspection experience is required., Salary based on experience, certifications, continuous learning, ASNT Level II VT, PT, MT, RT, UT (preferred)
