Open Positions are in Utah, Arizona, and Nevada

A Senior PM or Project Manager oversees multiple structural steel projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. They are responsible for managing client relationships, subcontractors, and internal teams while ensuring strict compliance with PMI best practices, PMP guidelines, and company standards. This position requires expertise that is crucial in mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Project Planning & Execution:

1. Oversee structural steel projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
2. Develop and execute project plans following PMI best practices, including scope definition, risk assessment, and schedule management.
3. Lead project kickoff meetings, setting clear expectations with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholder
4. Coordinate closely with engineering, detailing, fabrication, and erection teams to ensure seamless project execution.
5. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact project delivery.

Financial & Contract Management:

1. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control
2. Handle project financials, including cost in excess, change orders, and progress billing.
3. Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable terms.
4. Work with finance teams to track earned revenue, project cash flow, and forecasting

Client & Stakeholder Relations:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and other key stakeholders.
2. Maintain strong relationships through transparent communication, regular updates, and problem-solving.
3. Lead project meetings, providing detailed progress reports and addressing any concerns.
4. Ensure client satisfaction while balancing company interests and project success.

Risk & Quality Management:

1. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks using structured PMI methodologies.
2. Implement and enforce quality control standards in fabrication and field installation.
3. Ensure all work complies with AISC standards, OSHA safety regulations, and contract requirements
4. Drive safety-first initiatives across all project phases. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Team Leadership & Development:

1. Mentor and guide assistant project managers and junior team members, fostering professional growth.
2. Ensure accountability across teams, setting high standards for performance and efficiency.
3. Promote collaboration between project management, procurement, fabrication, and field teams.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience leading large-scale structural steel construction projects.

•  Communication: Effective communicator across all levels—verbal, written, and interpersonal.

•  Project Coordination: Skilled in planning, organizing, and executing project support functions in collaboration with other project managers and executive leadership.
•  Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of construction documents, specifications (AISC, AWS), and submittal processes.
•  High proficiency in digital project management tools and document control systems.
•  Discretion and Confidentiality: Maintains a high level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive project information.
