Job Description: RSi is looking to fill a Pipefitter Foreman position to support our NASA customer. The Pipefitter Foreman leads and oversees pipefitting operations, ensuring compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of water, steam, gas, and other piping systems. This role requires advanced knowledge of pipefitting methods, from layout and measurement to cutting, threading, bending, and assembly. The foreman interprets drawings and specifications, directs Pipefitters in daily tasks, and verifies that completed work meets required standards. Strong technical skill in pipe computations, testing, and equipment use is essential.
Job duties:
- Lay out and measure pipe locations from drawings and specifications.
- Cut and thread pipe using chisels, torches, stocks, dies, and machines.
- Direct and oversee Pipefitters to ensure compliant, accurate work.
- Bend pipe using hand-powered or machine-driven equipment.
- Assemble and secure pipe with couplings, fittings, and hangers.
- Perform calculations for pressure, flow, and required pipe sizing.
- Conduct standard tests to verify finished pipe installations meet specifications.
Qualifications and Experience: In general, the work of the Pipefitter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in awkward positions to access work areas
- The use of tools associated with the position
- Indoor and outdoor working environments
- Lifting up to 40 lbs
- Must use proper PPE for all tasks

Clearance: Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements.
